What is Simple Breathwork?
Simple Breathwork: Breath Hold is a guided breathing app for iPhone and Apple Watch. It opens with Start Fresh, a guided two-minute reset, and includes Box Breathing, 4-7-8, the Physiological Sigh, power-breathing rounds with a breath-hold timer, a 7-day routine and a 21-day program. Haptics and soft tones guide every phase, so you can keep your eyes closed.
Is Simple Breathwork free?
Yes, the download is free. Start Fresh and Box Breathing are free every day, with no account needed. Premium is $5.00 a month or $30.00 a year on the US App Store; subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the period.
Does it work on Apple Watch?
Yes. The Apple Watch app (watchOS 11.0 or later) guides sessions on your wrist with haptics, and watch sessions sync to your iPhone history.
Does it work with Apple Health?
Optionally. If you turn it on, sessions are saved as Mindful Minutes and the session summary can show your average heart rate for each breath hold.
Is breath-hold breathwork safe?
Power breathing followed by breath holds can cause dizziness, tingling or fainting. Practice seated or lying down, never in or near water, while driving or standing. If you are pregnant or have a heart, lung, seizure or other health condition, talk to a doctor first. The app is for general wellness and is not a medical device.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no account. Your settings and session history are stored on your device.
Is there an Android version?
No. Simple Breathwork is for iPhone (iOS 18.0 or later) and Apple Watch. The App Store also lists it for iPad, Apple-silicon Macs and Apple Vision Pro.
